We now give you the opportunity to see and hear the presentations about the thematic areas and how to put it to use in microdata.no.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thematic courses are divided into the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thematic course \u2013 contextual data<\/li><li>Thematic course \u2013 job data and data on ongoing education<\/li><li>Thematic course \u2013 income, tax, and welfare benefits&nbsp;<\/li><li>Thematic course \u2013 building datasets and creating variables<\/li><li>Thematic course \u2013 working with invisible data&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Three of the thematic areas are subtitled and published on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microdata.no\/en\/courses\/\">course pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/794813766\">thematic course &#8211; job data and data on ongoing education<\/a> you will learn more about which employment and education data microdata.no has, which to use when, and how to handle parallel events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/794825450\">Thematic course \u2013 contextual data<\/a> describes the person&#8217;s surroundings, for instance parents and siblings, the family and the household, the town and the municipality. microdata.no has pointers from the person to data on all these units. Learn what variables we have, which ones you can create and how to link them together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/794824995\">Thematic course \u2013 building datasets and creating variables<\/a> shows how to aggregate, split, re-code, and trim datasets, and how to re-structure from <em>wide<\/em> to <em>long<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All courses contain an academic theoretical part, and a practical part.
